About Brayns

We are a small team teaching machines to run compliance work end-to-end. Brayns reads how operators actually work — documents, case history, the judgment of senior people — and turns that structure into agents that execute continuously, traceably, at scale.

The role

We are building something we believe will be one of the next unicorns out of Stockholm — and we are hiring people who want to be part of that. For this role, that pride shows up as an eye for design. We are looking for a front-end developer who treats the interface itself as part of the work — typography, spacing, motion, interaction states, and the small details that separate a design implemented correctly from one implemented beautifully. You will work closely with our designer and play a central role in shaping how our product looks, feels, and behaves. If you get a little twitchy when spacing is off by 2 pixels or a hover state feels wrong, you will be at home here. This role is onsite in Stockholm and open only to candidates who already live in Stockholm or are ready to relocate before starting. We will not be considering remote applicants.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain the front end of our product.
  • Pair closely with our designer and bring his work to life in production, preserving both the intent and the details of the original design.
  • Own front-end decisions end-to-end: architecture, component patterns, performance, accessibility, and code quality.
  • Push back thoughtfully when something in a design will not work in practice, and propose alternatives that preserve the intent.
  • Contribute to a high bar for visual and interaction quality across everything we ship.

What we look for

  • An eye for design. You care about how the product looks and feels, not just whether it works. You notice the difference between a design implemented correctly and one implemented faithfully.
  • Self-directed. Seniority is not important to us, but independence is. You can take a design or a rough spec and ship it without needing to be managed through each step.
  • Tech-agnostic but opinionated. We do not care which specific front-end stack you have used most — we care that you have strong reasoning behind your choices and can justify them.
  • Craft-oriented. Clean code, thoughtful component structure, sensible state management. You take responsibility for what you ship.
  • A collaborator. You enjoy working closely with a designer rather than getting handed specs over a wall.

Nice to have

  • A portfolio, side project, or piece of work that you are particularly proud of from a visual standpoint.
  • Familiarity with animation and micro-interactions.
  • Comfort working directly in a design tool (Figma or similar) to understand a design the way the designer intended it.

Don't check every box? Apply anyway. We weigh trajectory and taste over a perfect résumé.
